We visited the boys at the orphanage on Wednesday, December 16th...they received many gifts from us and they are very thankful.....a lot of hugs and Gracias from them!!

The boys at the orphanage just received some Christmas gifts. Our neighbor, the Palmers, gave us many bean bag animals for the boys.

This woman is a SAINT!!! She has been the cook at our orphanage in Guadalajara for many years....Everything she cooks is delicious.....no matter how little ingredients she can have!!
The boys call her "Abuelita" which is a very loving term for "Grandma"

Hal and I, Debbie and his sister Marlys and her husband at the Memorial Service for Robert. Marlys and her husband have been staying in Georgia for about a year and a half to help Robert who had been in a Rehab Center. Thanks to them!!! WE were so happy that Debbie came down from Chicago to be with us at the Memorial Serive.

Hal's brother, Dr. Robert J. Brown died this month so we went to Macon Georgia for his memorial service.

NIA actually has a VAN now!!

Never have they had a VAN to take the boys to school and on outings!!

The boys don't have any toys as great as these!! Now they HAVE them and they are very happy. They were about
to have lunch and then go to school, so they didn't get to play with them right away.

Swallows on our terazza

 
We allowed the swallows to raise a family near the roof of our terazza....Yesterday they were all
learning to fly....then last night we had a big rain storm and one of them fell in the pool. We
rescued it and put it up on a ledge....then later it fell in the pool again.....so we picked it
up and put it on the ledge again where it stayed all night. Now it is down in the garden and the
rest of the "family" is really hovering around. Hope it survives.

Our visit to our beloved orphanage in Guad...August 19, 2009 So many memories came back to us as we toured the orphanage and met the new boys!
